The FUNDACION LALIGA and the Villarreal CF Foundation organized the 17th Meeting of Professional Football Club Foundations in Vila-real, where the LALIGA foundations met to discuss current topics. The meeting began with a guided tour of the iconic Estadio de La Cerámica, with an immersive tour of the most important areas, such as its museum, which has integrated technology in all its spaces, its dressing rooms, or the playing field. In this route, Fernando Roig, president of Villarreal CF, assured that "for us it is an honor to host this meeting that allows us to bring together the main entities of Spanish football in social matters, so that they can exchange experiences, projects and good practices of social responsibility". The Thursday session, held in the events room of the Estadio de la Cerámica, began with the welcome by Clemente Villaverde, president of the FUNDACIÓN LALIGA, who encouraged the attendees to "internalize learnings that help us identify challenges and opportunities, promoting a greater relationship of cooperation in a relaxed, participatory and collaborative environment". The meeting continued with the development of the round tables planned in the day's programming, being the first related to the analysis of the novelties and trends of the management of the environmental, social and governance (ASG) factors, and the state of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in relation to organizations linked to professional football. This first presentation was directed by Roberto Fernández Villarino, external coordinator of the Fair Play Social project. Subsequently, the theme focused on the different strategies to enhance the social action of professional football foundations, with a special focus on work with youth. In this table, Artamy Rodriguez Plata, project director of the Fundación CD Tenerife, developed the STEM project; Ariadna Siri, responsible for the integral development area of the lower sections of Real Racing Club, was in charge of exposing the Racing vs bullying project; and Laura Sabate, project coordinator of the Fundació FC Barcelona, explained the long trajectory they have in their entity in the matter of bullying prevention. After a brief pause, Alberto Grilles, Rocio Cava and Paloma Maso, representatives of the foundations of Levante UD, Valencia CF and Villarreal CF respectively, completed an emotional table in which they exposed the initiatives and actions they have developed from their entities since the devastating DANA lived in the past month of October. They also thanked all the help received and the collaboration generated between the different football foundations in the face of such a terrible event, demonstrating the great transformative power of football. One of the main topics of the day revolved around climate justice and its impact on football, which had Omar Jiménez, technical projects technician of Cooperacion lroko, external presenter who explained what it is, what implications it has, how it is affecting local communities and how it can be worked on to mitigate it. The last experience table, whose title was "Design, implementation and measurement of impact of successful campaigns" counted with the participation of experts in the field.
